Between Sandy and the elections, I know this is a crazy time… I got away with just no power for a few days. My thoughts go to all of you who weren’t as lucky.I just wanted to tell you I am off to California for the rest of the week. For those of you in the San Francisco/Bay Area, it is my honor to have been invited to deliver the keynote address at the Interdisciplinary Conference on Conscience, organized by Stanford University’s Europe Center.
The event, which runs from Wednesday evening, November 7th, through Friday, November 9th, will gather academics in the fields of history, literature, religious studies, psychology, and philosophy, to answer the following question: “What is conscience, what was conscience, and what is its future?
The event is free and open to the public, but an RSVP is requested.
